Music in Greensboro
The Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra began in 1971 as a single ensemble and now has three, from Youth Strings to the full Youth Orchestra, with members from across the Triad. Each year from January through March, Greensboro Symphony musicians give concerts in every Guilford County Schools elementary school. In summer, the UNCG School of Music holds a Summer Music Camp for middle and high school students, and the Eastern Festival of Music brings students ages 14 to 24 to Guilford College for five weeks of study and performance.
