Who we are
Triad Suzuki Academy, a violin and viola school in Kernersville, North Carolina, is the business name of Eakes Entertainment Group, LLC. This policy covers our website, triadsuzuki.com. When it says "we" or "us," it means Eakes Entertainment Group, LLC, doing business as Triad Suzuki Academy.
Information you give us
When you register or ask for a trial lesson, our registration form asks for details such as a parent or guardian’s name, email, and phone number, and the student’s name, age, instrument, experience, and the times that work for lessons. A parent or guardian fills out the form for a child. The form sends your answers to our email inbox, and the website itself keeps no copy.
When you email, call, or text us, we receive what you send, along with your email address or phone number.
Information collected when you visit
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how families find and use the site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (city or region, not a street address), what kind of device and browser they use, and how they arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. Our Cookie Policy lists them and explains how to turn them off. Google Analytics does not run on our free music games and classes.
Like any website host, our hosting provider keeps server records of each visit, such as the IP address, the browser, and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
If something on a page stops working, your browser sends us a short error report: the page’s address, what went wrong and where in our code, and the name of the browser. It names no one, and we use it only to fix the problem. It is kept with the server records and deleted with them after 30 days.
Information that stays on your device
Some choices are saved only in your own browser and are never sent to us: the light or dark color theme, the reading level you pick, the questions you choose to practice in our music games, which questions each game has already asked, and your progress in our music games and classes. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.
How we use information
We use the information you give us to answer your questions, schedule trial lessons, enroll students, plan and teach lessons, and keep families informed about lessons, schedules, recitals, and tuition. We use visit information to see what is working on our website and to improve it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.
Who helps us handle it
A few services hold information for us so we can run the studio and the website: Google, which provides our email, where registration and trial lesson requests arrive, Google Analytics, and the hosting that delivers our website; and Airtable, which holds registrations sent through our earlier form. They handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our students, families, or teachers.
Children
Our free music games and classes are made for young musicians. The first time they open on a device, they ask a parent or guardian to answer a grown-up question and to agree to our terms for the child. They do not ask for a name, an account, or any other personal information. The parent’s yes, the child’s progress, the questions they choose to practice, and which questions a game has already asked stay on the device. Google Analytics does not run on these pages.
Like every page, these pages are delivered by our hosting provider, which records the IP address of each visit. Those records, and the short error report a browser sends when something on a page stops working, are used only to deliver the pages, keep the site secure and working, and count how many visits each page gets. To keep it that way, no analytics or advertising tools run on these pages, the records stay in our hosting account where only the people who run the studio can see them, and they are deleted after 30 days. We never combine them with registration information, and we never use them to identify, contact, or build a profile of anyone.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Registration is completed by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
A parent or guardian with a question about these pages can reach us, Eakes Entertainment Group, LLC, doing business as Triad Suzuki Academy, by mail at P.O. Box 1133, Kernersville, NC 27285, by phone at (336) 265-7276, or by email at contact@triadsuzuki.com.
How long we keep information
If you ask about lessons or a free trial and do not enroll, we delete what you sent within 12 months. We keep a student’s registration information while the student studies with us and for 3 years after the last lesson, and records of tuition payments for 4 years, then delete them.
Google Analytics keeps visit information for the period we set in our account. Our hosting provider’s server records, including the IP address of each visit, and the error reports browsers send are deleted after 30 days.
Keeping information safe
We limit who can see registration information to the people who teach and run the studio, and we use services that protect the information they hold. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect yours.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information you have given us by emailing contact@triadsuzuki.com or calling (336) 265-7276. We will confirm that the request comes from you and answer within 30 days. We may keep what we need for our records or what the law requires us to keep, such as records of tuition payments.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics. Our Cookie Policy explains how.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on our website.
